Chelsea Fundraiser

To Whom It May Concern:

I work at the Christie Hospital in Manchester and a close colleague of mine recently lost her daughter to cancer.

Chelsea was just 19 years old, she had numerous operations and intense Chemotherapy but unfortunately she
lost her fight on the 17th March 2011.

Chelsea was a beautiful girl, inside and out. She had a love for life, she never let her illness get her down and she lived her life to the
full.

Chelsea enjoyed going out with her friends who all thought the world of her. She has an amazing family who were with her every step of the way. Chelsea’s Mum works at the Christie hospital which was obviously very difficult for her to see her own
daughter being treated there. It’s not something any mother should have to face, seeing their own child go through a difficult illness.

Chelsea herself was a fundraiser, even though she was battling cancer, she still managed to complete the relay for life in September last year, to help others in a similar situation to herself. Since she has passed four of her close friends have continued to carry on her fundraising in her memory and raised over £2000 for cancer research.

We would like to pay tribute to Chelsea by holding a fundraising evening. This will be held at St Kentigerns Social Club, Wilbraham Road, Manchester on Friday 21st October 2011. All money raised on the evening will go towards a headstone.

If you are able to provide any raffles prizes these would be greatly appreciated. Anything would be a great help for this worthy cause, no matter how small.
