Dear resident,

Police are today carrying out the largest drugs strike in the history of
GMP.

As part of Operation Audacious, officers will be executing approximately
100 warrants at the homes of suspected drug dealers across Manchester.

Hundreds of officers are involved in the operation and their actions will
be witnessed first-hand by members of the community.

Clamping down on drugs is a huge priority for GMP and the latest crackdown
comes following complaints about drug dealing from residents.

As well as bringing misery to communities, drugs fuel other types of crime
and the aim of today is to take out some of the key players and create a
safer environment for the people of Manchester.

I hope that today shows the people of Manchester just how serious we are
about tackling this issue.
