Family and Friends of St Winifred’s School Annual Fundraising Ball

Many thanks for making your very generous donation to our annual fundraising ball. The event was extremely successful as well as being a very enjoyable evening. Your donation contributed towards our grand total amount raised of approx £6,500.This will go towards a mobile computer suite for the school. This is a fantastic achievement which could not have been made without your very generous help.

Some friends and I were at St Kent’s last night to see John McNicholl.

We’d come from North Manchester especially for my friend’s birthday and had a great night.

She was delighted when John came over and wished her a Happy Birthday, then a cake with lit candles was brought to her and we all sang Happy Birthday to her.

Because we live quite a distance I have to say we haven’t been to St Kent’s for a while and was surprised how small the crowd was – more shocked really, because I know what a great club it is and only the best bands and singers are on, so I wish the North West Irish Community would wake up and support a great Irish club. I know it’s a difficult time financially for everyone, but it would be a crying shame if such a flagship Irish centre suffered from lack of support!

One more thing, one of your girls – tall girl, dark hair and glasses was so lovely, helpful and supportive when the birthday girl wasn’t feeling so well later in the night – a big thank you to her!

Just a few words to say thank you for your kindness and support towards Pat and his work in Brasil.

It is not an easy task but when we have people like yourself it sure
makes it easier.

Maybe next year we might go for a well known band plus Joe Casserley, it will attract a lot more people,

its just a thought.

I would just like to express my thanks for all your efforts in organising the St. Brendan’s 50th Anniversary Dinner Dance.
We had a great evening, and I know my Dad was very touched by the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award – thankfully he didn’t get the chance to make a thank you speech.
I also believe you were involved with a presentation he received at the Town Hall earlier in the month.
I know my Dad has given a lot of his time over the years to helping people, and he’s never looked for any thanks, but I know that he has had one of the best months of his life and is extremely proud that his work has been recognised.
Once again thank you on behalf of all the family for all your efforts, they have been very much appreciated.

You may remember I wrote to you in January to ask for a donation to be used in a raffle/auction to raise money for Breast Cancer. My family and I in association with Saint Kentigerns Social Club and The County Fermanagh Association held a charity night on the 1st of February. The funds raised will enable continued research so that one day we will beat cancer.

I would like to take this opportunity to give my heart felt thanks for your generosity. The evening was a fantastic success and with the help of your donation we managed to raise a grand total of £10,215!

All funds went to The Genesis Appeal based at Wythenshawe Hospital. The Nightingale & Genesis Prevention Centre is the only purpose built breast cancer prevention centre in Europe. Fundraising is essential to facilitate the new centre and to support the research projects and medical teams who are based there.

1 in 10 women will currently be expected to develop breast cancer in their life time. Genesis’ mission is to create a future without breast cancer by making 1 in 10, none in 10.

Once again, thank you very much for supporting us.

Just thought it right i send an email to you all to say how overwhelmed i am at the generosity of you all, not only towards the Christie fundraiser for Prostate Cancer but also to myself.

My retirement came so sudden i didn’t really have time to say goodbye in the way i wanted to and also thank the many people that donated so much money towards the fundraiser which at this moment as i write stands somewhere in the region of £4,350 with some other donations still to come, id like to thank all the people who bought raffle tickets and those that bought tickets for the “do” which in my opinion and everyone else’s that ive spoken to since was a fantastic night that i will never ever forget for the warmth and good feelings towards me, so thank you all sincerly from a still can’t belive it me.
I need to say a special thank you to several people that went a million miles out of their way to make the fundraiser night such a massive success that ran so smoothly you’d think they’ed been doing this sort of stuff all the time rather than in their own time after work, so a special thank you from the bottom of my lil heart goes out to, Sarah O’Meara, Paulette Harrison, Beth Griffiths, Kerry O’Donnell, also to Shelagh (singer/friend) for her time and donation, Deb Foley for the kind donations, Sue Kane for all her efforts with the Town Hall venue and last but not least my lil Mum for her generosity too.
Yes there were plenty others that helped out but those above deserved special mention as i know how hard they worked to make the night the night it was and one im never gonna forget an i feel lucky to be able to call them my friends too.
